Many Volunteer Positions For 2nd Annual All-American Car Show Fundraiser

THE ALL-AMERICAN CAR SHOW FUNDRAISER IS BASED ENTIRELY ON VOLUNTEER SERVICE AND SIMPLY COULD NOT HAPPEN WITH YOU!

AMVETS Post 40, in cooperation with The Sixth Foundation and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #223, is hosting a fun-filled family event to raise money for local veteran programs.

Event Location: Veterans Memorial Building, 1351 Maple Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Event Date: Saturday, July 1, 2023

Event Schedule:

·6:00 AM to 8:00 AM – Display vehicle load in

·6:30 AM to 10:00 AM – Pancake Breakfast

·9:00 AM to 2:00 PM – Car Show

·1:30 PM – Golden Ticket Drawing

Volunteers are what make our events possible! We have many positions and shifts open that need some helping hands. Shifts are generally 3- 4 hours long (or longer) and cover various duties, from working at the entrance gates, directing traffic, being an assistant to key positions (such as Vendor and Registration Coordinators), helping with the pancake breakfast, trash collecting, clean-up, and more. Consider volunteering with friends, family, or coworkers. This is a fun way to give back to the community while seeing great cars and military and first-responder equipment. Volunteers who sign up in advance are eligible to receive a free pancake breakfast, parking, and water. Volunteers are invited to a free BBQ dinner to meet other volunteers the night before at the Veterans Building parking lot between 4 PM and 8 PM.

We need volunteers for the following positions:

·Gate Workers (6 AM to 2 PM) (one-hour or more shifts) - Two people work together at the front gate and direct incoming traffic to either the right or left side of the Veterans Memorial Building. One Gate-Worker handles cash to collect $5 for public parking.

·Traffic Control  (6 AM to 3 PM) - Directs traffic flow to designated spots, such as public parking, vendors, and contestants.

·Errand Runner (6 AM to 2 PM) -  Works with the Registration Coordinator to assist contestants with registering vehicles for the contest.

-Vendor Coordinator Assistant (6 AM to 2 PM) - Assists Vendor Coordinator with directing and managing vendors.

·Pick-up Trash (11 AM – 3 PM) - Ideal for teenagers.

·Clean-Up - (until everything is cleaned up)
