Spanish Speaking Client Callbacks and Scheduling
Help our Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) and Spay/Neuter Clinic provide outstanding service to our Spanish speaking clients! Our CVC provides compassionate veterinary care in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment for low-income pet owners. We serve as a safety net in Sonoma County by providing access to quality veterinary care for animals and their families.
Many of our clients at the CVC speak only Spanish, and the Spanish Speaking volunteer position is critical in helping to ensure they are getting the service and care they (and their animals) need.
This position supports the CVC by checking the Spanish voicemail line, returning calls to Spanish speaking clients, scheduling appointments, and assisting Spanish speaking clients in person at the CVC and Spay/Neuter Clinic, as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Checking the Spanish language voicemail
- Using Excel/ spreadsheets to record client information and notes
- Returning client calls
- Scheduling appointments in our scheduling database
- Assisting with Spanish speaking clients in–person as needed
Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- Bilingual Spanish/ English or fluent Spanish and semi-fluent in English
- Excellent customer service skills (very important!)
- Comfortable making phone calls
- Experience using Excel/ spreadsheets
- Comfortable using computers and learning new computer applications
- Able to commit to a 2 hour shift/ week for 6 months (yes, you can take a vacation)

Following the Zoom orientation you will be connected with the CVC team to set up a training shift and your regular schedule.
